Check Engine Lamp Indicator

At the time of the vehicle troubleshooting Europe On-Board Diagnostic (OBD-Euro), the vehicle must be connected to the OBD scan tool (in accordance with ISO 14230-4). Various output data from the ECM vehicle can then be read. Euro-OBD regulation requires the vehicle's on-board computer turn on the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) on the instrument panel when the computer detects a malfunction. 1. To check the DTCs, connect the intelligent tester to Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) on the vehicle.
